Vision

The story behind this ministry …

The vision for Outrider Ministries for Christ came in the middle of the night on February 13, 2013, when Founder and President Brad Harrington was awakened at 3:30 a.m. with a compulsion from the Holy Spirit to write.

Without hesitation, Brad bolted out of bed, immediately picked up a nearby pencil and piece of paper, and then penned the vision laid upon his heart. He rapidly wrote non-stop (without pausing once) until the 502 words were on paper. Afterwards, Brad laid the paper on his bedside table and then briefly praised God before falling back asleep just as quickly as he had been awakened.

It was not until morning’s light – after reading what had been penned hours earlier – that the written vision began taking hold in his heart and mind. Here are those 502 words that the Holy Spirit imprinted upon Brad’s heart in the early morning hours back in 2013 that gave rise to Outrider Ministries.

Behold, the kingdom of God is at hand. Now is the time to put your house in order. Get down on bended knee; press into the heart of God.

Hear the words of the Most High, the Holy One. Incline thy ears to listen, hasten not, waste not another day. Pursue Yahweh with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your soul. Deliberate on His every way and turn from your wicked pursuits.

Accept not the ways of man but rely only on the words of God. Let thy heart radiate His truths through every action. Not just in thoughts, but in everything you do.

Long to serve the Bread of Life with all your remaining days. Place your life in His loving hands, yield to His beckoning touch. Let Him direct thy steps down the road to righteousness.

Proclaim Him from the mountain tops and in the meadows lush with rain, across the fertile lands planted by the farmer.

Speak His truths in the marketplace and on the highways and byways of life that stretch from coast to coast and border to border.

In the hearts of man leave the message of hope that is the truth from all the ages and for all the ages – salvation calls, open the door and He shall come in, reigning victoriously.

Tell the old and young alike, the Navajo and the cowboy, the fisher and the hunter.

Profess Yeshua’s name before all whose path you cross, the singer and the poet, the broken and the proud.

Round up all who will listen and preach the Good News, the acceptable day of the Lord is at hand.

It’s not for you to reason why but instead to die to self that your motives be pure and your dreams His, that your every step be His call to carry the cross to neighbors and strangers, to friends and foes, to people of all nations.

Do not fear, for like the eagle that flies on high places, you will always have a place to land, a perch from which to rest thy weary bones.

Harken, I stand at the door and knock, sayeth the Lord. Let all with ears hear.

Who is my servant?

The one who does My will and serves his fellow man with the gifts I have freely given.

Woe to the ones who interfere with his steps, for their days will be numbered like the withering grass. But honor and blessings shall clothe the helpers – their riches are stored up in heaven where the joyous songs of praise fill the air like incense, testifying to Abba’s loving kindness.

Who has been called to present the Lamb of God to the broken-hearted and downtrodden that they, too, may be at the wedding feast?

Let him hear My call and answer.

Now, all who have tongues praise God and all with ears listen, that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords might receive all glory and honor, now and forever. Amen.

The following words from Habakkuk 2:2-4 now resonate loudly as Outrider Ministries for Christ sets forth to accomplish this vision: Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end, it will speak and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it, because it will surely come. It will not tarry. Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him, but the just shall live by his faith.”

While the words given Brad Harrington in the middle of the night were penned in 2013, the ministry did not come to fruition until 2019. After additional delays caused by the worldwide COVID pandemic, Outrider Ministries is laying hold of the vision and the passage from Habakkuk, knowing that the appointed time has arrived. We shall not tarry any longer to accomplish our calling as a going ministry for a coming Savior as we fulfill the God-given vision for Outrider Ministries for Christ.
